Getting America Back to Work Again Series – Part 1

How is retention at your organization, post the pandemic?

Top 3 ways a business can increase retention:

1.  Offer targeted training that consistently closes skill gaps
2. Offer leadership training to those with the potential to lead; not just those whom have already performed as a leader
3. Spread the wealth of the most desirable career enhancing opportunities, so career growth is viewed as equally accessible and attainable to all employees, and that all people feel as if they and their contributions are seen and valued.

I am looking forward to witnessing your retention growth, so keep me posted on how I may partner to assist you.

All the Best,
Adrienne

Getting America Back to Work Again Series – Part 2

Post the pandemic, what is the best strategy business owners can use to increase production in their business?

1.  Ensure employees at all level are equally connected to all aspects of your organizational goals.

Specifically, allow employees to assist with developing goals; publicly post goals, communicate goals, display performance and progress, in support of the goals, repeatedly reinforce the significance of said goals, and most importantly, celebrate goal achievement.

2.  A collective spirit of collaboration and cohesiveness is key to increasing production in business.

Inform me if I may be of assistance.  I look forward to witnessing your production growth, so keep me posted.

All the Best,
Adrienne

Getting America Back to Work Again Series – Part 3

1. Perform a Work Portfolio Review on a regular and recurring basis.  It is extremely important to understand your current and future work demands, to include entry points into new market sectors of interest.

2. Understand relatability and relevance of your talent.  There is so much talent resident within organizations that simply goes untapped and unused, due to the lack of talent management processes, procedures and products.  Unfortunately, a natural bi-product of this is poor employee engagement and low employee moral.

If you want to fact check this point, just reflect upon the number of times we say interesting…I did not know Jack used to do that type of work, or that Maria did that work in her previous career.

Another way to fact check this point is to simply ask people in your organization about their previous careers and present passion.  I can assure you that you will be amazed at what you discover.

3. Lastly, Leverage a talent management program to reassess, redesign, refine, redevelopment and redeploy a mix of your onboard talent.

Take action today, and inform me if I may be of assistance.  I look forward to witnessing your company’s growth, as a result of avoiding cost and experiencing savings associated with retaining your employees and reducing your hiring costs.

All the Best,
Adrienne

What is your WHY?

I hope you take the needed time to discover your WHY.

Simon Sinek’s WHY: “To inspire people to do the things that inspire them so that, together, we can change our world.” The impact Simon wants is for each of us to change the world, in however way we can, for the better.

Adrienne M. Somerville’s WHY: “To change how people are feeling (in their workplace), and ensure they are optimally performing and contributing to the organizations they are supporting.” The impact Adrienne wants is for people to not only live, but also work in their stories. This is how individuals, managers, and organizations collectively WIN.
